No children under 6 years old are allowed access to the hippos.

Directions to Jessica the Hippo

Travel 8 km on the R527 in an easterly direction from Hoedspruit.

Turn right onto the Essex Rd. The first 3.5 km is tarred, and the remaining 4.5 km is unpaved/gravel.

The turn off to Jessica the Hippo is clearly marked just before you cross the bridge over the Blyde River.
