Makalali River Lodge - a family favourite
Makalali River Lodge has 18 rooms in 3 separate blocks (six rooms each) so as to enjoy the African bush veld. Each suite has a king size bed, ensuite bathroom with an inside and outside shower. The suites have a view over the Makhutswi River. The suite has a fully stock mini bar and a coffee/tea station. The bath has a bush view and each room has a fire place.

Makalali River Lodge
Situated in the 26000ha Makalali Private Game Reserve west of Kruger Park is a Big5 game reserve, This 36-bed lodge is split up into 3 camps of 6 chalets each. Each camp has a private swimming pool, boma, and dining facilities. Ideal for families, small weddings, or a family celebration.
Your day starts with coffee and rusks and then off on your 3-hour outdoor safari game drive in a Big5 game reserve in an open safari vehicle with a qualified guide and tracker. While searching for the elusive Big Five your guide can take you off-road in an attempt to bring you closer to the wildlife. The birding on this game reserve will give you many good birding photographic opportunities.
After the morning drive, breakfast is served in the open-air restaurant. After a relaxing morning in or around the pool, lunch is served, a short rest, and then High Tea is served just before your afternoon safari game drive. Returning just after dark, dinner is served in the boma under the African stars.
